Weekly Schedule

Every activity will not be available each day. However, campers will always have 2 or more to choose from during the election time slot

Group Bonding

These are activities that bring our campers together by encouraging collaboration & teamwork. It is important that campers recognize and respect the similarities & differences between one another, to build trust and develop connections. We often have a range of activities, varying depending on the age groups, and between physical, mental, or emotional strengthening objectives.

In this elective, campers will work on a variety of drills to learn, improve, & perfect their tumbling skills! At Apex we believe in the proper progression of skills, no matter what setting, for safety & proper growth. Therefore, campers will still be required to show mastery of each prerequisite skill set, before being allowed to move onto the next level of tumbling skills.

Arts & Crafts

Express yourself! Arts & Crafts is a special time where campers can feel free to express themselves artistically. We will offer set Arts & Crafts readily available, as well as, a wide variety of materials for campers to choose from & create with, on their own.

Movie Time

Movie Time- Need to rest or time to chill? There will be a designated quiet area for campers to do just that while enjoying a movie! All movies will be G or PG-rated.

Obstacle Course

Challenge your strength and balance with unique obstacle courses created by our staff. These will often include an array of mats, trampolines, and other structures to enhance running, climbing, jumping, crawling, and balancing elements.

Creative Learning Activities

The perfect place where intellectual stimulation meets fun & excitement! Having a background as an elementary teacher, the gym manager at Apex loves to throw in educational games that keep kids engaged & entertained whenever possible! An array of resources are used during this time, occasionally including online games/apps such as: Kahoot, funbrain, cool math, and more.

Gym Games

Apex summer camp staff are equipped with numerous amounts of games in their repertoire. Some of these games include musical mats, ships & sailors, lovers leap, the floor is lava, fruit fly, add on, & stick it.

Water Day Wednesday

Let’s beat the heat with some fun water day activities!! We have water shooters, water guns, water balloons, and a huge inflatable water slide.

If you do not want your camper to participate in any water activity, just let a staffer know.

  • For over a decade now, Apex has been home to more than four thousand athletes. Many of our former athletes have taken their training to the next level and cheered in college, some have earned Collegiate National Championship Titles, and many have even joined the Apex Staff! Our Apex Summer Camp Staff is a combination of these seasoned coaches, our highly trained directors, and new hires each year that has been hand-picked & vetted. Each staff member is dedicated to the same three core values we strive to achieve at Apex: Character, Perseverance, & Integrity.

  • All of our camp staff are required to attend a series of trainings and have either been coaching at Apex for over 6 months or have shadowed a seasoned coach for over a month. This is to ensure that all staff is properly trained in Apex gym rules & safety protocol, how to safely spot & monitor tumbling, & how to keep a positive & structured environment while having a BLAST!

  • Two snacks - we will have a morning snack embedded in the daily camp schedule & a second snack in the afternoon for aftercare. Apex has a vending machine upstairs with snacks, Gatorade, & waters.

  • Lunch - Campers can bring lunch, purchase lunch for the entire week, or just for pizza Friday. Every Friday, we will order pizza but campers may still bring their own lunch if they choose. Pizza will be an additional $5 for those that did not purchase lunch for the week.
